 COVID-19  updated 26th August 2020


Training at TRT will continue for all face to face training as scheduled at this time. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide timely updates should any new changes or requirements come in to place.

 Please read the points below, particularly the two areas relating to travel and what to do before attending your course. This is to ensure the health and safety of not only yourself, but fellow course attendees and our TRT Team. 

Before your course:
• Our trainers will thoroughly clean our training room and reception area
• Door Handles and light switches will be cleaned regularly
• Class sizes will be reduced to allow for distance

Before attending your course:
• If you have




        Travelled overseas in the last 14 days


        Visited Victoria Australia in the last 14 days


        Travelled to or from a COVID 19 hot spot in the last 14 days


        Been in contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID 19 in the last 14 days


        Had any of the following symptoms in the last 14 days – fevers, cough, sore throat

Please call us asap and we kindly ask you not to attend

• Please refer to advice from the Government and the World Health Organisation if you are unsure about isolation or your symptoms

At your course:
• Please bring your own blue or black pen
• Please wash your hands thoroughly before entering the class
• Please observe basic hygiene etiquette (don’t shake hands, keep your distance, cough/sneeze into your elbow or to a tissue)

You must practice physical distancing as much as possible and:

  • wash your hands regularly with soap and water, and use alcohol-based sanitiser
  • avoid hugs, kisses and handshakes
  • wherever possible keep at least 1.5 metres away, two big steps, from people you don’t live with.

As you are more than likely aware on the 22nd of August 2020, the Queensland Government introduced some new restrictions effective immediately, in relation to new Covid cases in Brisbane. If you are renting out a public space to conduct your courses, this may impact your ability to run groups larger than 10 people within the local government areas below AND there are changes outside these areas also.




Local Government areas with new restrictions:


Brisbane City Local Government Area


Ipswich City Local Government Area


Logan City Local Government Area


Scenic Rim Regional Local Government Area


Somerset Region Local Government Area


Lockyer Valley Local Government Area


Moreton Bay Local Government Area


Redland City Local Government Area

For remaining Queensland Businesses:


There has been extra restrictions that have been put in place for movement and gatherings in areas outside of listed local government areas. These restrictions include:


  • Have a maximum of 30 people in your home, including members of your household that live there. The visitors can be from different households
  • Have a public gathering with a maximum of 30 people including yourself and members of your household




The Restrictions on Businessess, Activities and Undertakings Direction (No.5) state the following that relation to attending university/TAFE/technical classes and educational institutes:




  • Universities, TAFE and other educational institutions are open and need to observe physical distancing. This means that there should be no more than one person per 4 square metres in large lecture settings.
  • Smaller educational and teaching sessions are not subject to the one person per 4 square metres rule, but physical distancing must be observed whenever possible. Please refer to your place of learning for more information about classes.




This is also a reminder that during the times of covid 19, please ensure that you are following these steps to prevent the spread:


  • Stay home if you are sick
  • If you have any COVID 19 symptoms, now matter how mild, get tested
  • Stay 1.5 metres away from other people – think two big steps
  • Wash your hands with soap and water, or hand sanitiser
  • Leave a location if it is crowded
