CPCCWHS2001 - Apply WHS procedures, policies and procedures in the construction industy
This course caters to individuals within the construction industry, addressing essential workplace health and safety (WHS) prerequisites applicable across various sectors within the construction field.
It is imperative for instructors delivering the White Card Course (CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry) to possess this specific unit, as it has become a mandatory requirement.
Participants will acquire the ability to identify potential risks and hazards related to workplace health and safety. This encompasses the recognition of perilous materials, such as asbestos and products containing crystalline silica, along with adherence to legislated safety practices. It's essential to note that the course does not encompass asbestos removal, which requires a separate license.
Through video-based assessments, students must showcase their competence in executing tasks safely. This involves awareness of risks and job-specific requirements, as well as the planning and execution of secure work practices, prioritizing personal safety and the well-being of others. Additionally, participants are expected to demonstrate emergency first aid treatment for minor injuries.
