This course is designed for Chief Fire Wardens who need to refresh their knowledge of fire safety procedures, regulations, and their leadership role within an Emergency Control Organisation (ECO). Developed with reference to Australian Standard 3745 and Australian Standard 4083, it helps participants build confidence to coordinate emergency responses and support workplace safety.
Participants will gain an understanding of emergency planning, fire hazard identification, risk control measures, emergency systems and equipment, evacuation procedures, ECO roles and leadership responsibilities, communication during emergencies, search procedures, assisting others, post incident actions, and reporting requirements.
Please note: This course provides general awareness training and touches on relevant Australian Standards, however it has not been mapped to fully address all elements of the Chief Warden role. Individual workplaces should assess whether this training is suitable based on their specific risks, emergency procedures and organisational requirements.
