This course is designed for individuals working in high stress environments such as emergency services, healthcare, and other demanding industries, particularly where shift work is a regular part of the role.
Participants will learn about the causes and effects of workplace stress, how to identify personal stressors and triggers, and practical strategies for managing both short term and long term stress. The course also guides students in developing a personalised stress management plan based on their own needs, interests, and lifestyle, while highlighting the importance of seeking support when needed to build resilience and maintain wellbeing.
It also covers the legal and ethical responsibilities of both employers and employees in relation to workplace health and safety (WHS), along with communication and documentation requirements for reporting incidents and hazards linked to workplace stress. The aim is to help create safer, healthier, and more supportive workplaces while reducing the risk of stress related illness and injury.
